I've made many attempts on this cosplay (and you can check out my cosplay.com gallery for older pictures of those!), but having the live action movie references actually helped out a lot. My friend, Tasu, had posted up her X-mas wishlist and one of them was to have people cosplay with her more. In a previous post, she had also posted a picture of her imitating Shin's hairstyle. Of course, I had to be a complete nerd and demanded she does a NANA group with me. I was ecstatic when she said yes.

I was even more ecstatic when she told me I would have a Ren, who turned out to be her friend, Ellome. Then my friend Jeff wanted to be Nobu. FINALLY! For years I've dreamt of having an awesome NANA group... I was so excited! We had an awesome photoshoot during ALA06, and we ended up kidnapping a random Rude cosplayer and turned him into Yasu. We so rock. XD

This particular costume is a mixture of Oosaki's average look in the manga, with the look of live action Oosaki thrown together. I wished I could be as pretty as Mika Nakashima, but hey... my NANA group rules either way. XD We plan on cosplaying NANA together again and again in the future... maybe I'm gonna have to give this cosplay its own website then! Ahhh! I'm so happy! I feel squishy that they all made their NANA cosplay for me too ;3; Ahhhh!!
